- Expungement or expunction: begin with the court where the matter originated
- Incident reports: request the record from the law-enforcement agency that created it
MCSO directs Tennessee Public Records Act requests for jail files, warrant information, MCSO arrest reports, and similar agency material through its public-record process. Tennessee identification is required for citizenship verification. Inspection carries no copying charge, while duplication or redaction may produce a fee.
